Sea Lanes Brighton Wins Sussex Heritage Trust Award

MacConvilles is delighted to announce that the Sea Lanes Brighton project won a prestigious Sussex Heritage Trust Award in the Public and Community category.

We were thrilled to attend the awards luncheon to celebrate this achievement alongside the talented team, including our client Sea Lanes, architect Evolution Architecture, structural engineer HOP Consulting, and the BHCC Seafront team.

The judges commended the project, highlighting its “excellent use of a challenging site.” They praised the project’s ingenuity in delivering essential facilities and its success in revitalising a previously neglected area by redirecting the city’s focus towards Black Rock. The judges also applauded the balanced mix of commercial and community spaces, which effectively capitalises on the beachfront location while respecting the beach’s biodiversity.

We congratulate all the award winners, highly commended projects, and shortlisted projects and thank the Sussex Heritage Trust Awards team for organising and hosting such a successful event in such a beautiful location.
