The MacConvilles team is a force of nature. A close-knit, enthusiastic and growing team – small enough to build strong, long-lasting relationships with our clients, but agile and talented enough to deliver outstanding projects of scale.

Our philosophy is to ‘do whatever we can for our clients’. Managing the risks to get projects finished on time and on budget. Working at MacConvilles isn’t just about taking a project from A to B; it’s about using shared knowledge, creativity and a can-do attitude to deliver the absolute best outcomes for our clients.

Many of our staff have built their careers at MacConvilles and we are fortunate to have a loyal and highly-experienced team.

As a new member of the team, you can benefit from our collective experience and feel empowered to make decisions for our clients with clarity and confidence.

It’s important for us that we invest in our people; it’s why we are committed to continually expanding our team’s skills and knowledge with on-going training, education and support. This comes in the form of in-house CPD, as well as an allowance towards individual personal development choices and mentoring from APC mentors. A culture of collaboration is at the core of MacConvilles and we foster this to create a working experience that is both personally and professionally rewarding.

Our culture

For more than 80 years MacConvilles has made a positive contribution within local communities and our commitment to this only grows.

Every year we pledge our time, resources, energy and skills to community interest projects – initiatives like the Community Kitchen, a non-profit organisation delivering a variety of community food projects. As a team, we seek opportunities where we can be of service; extending our knowledge and expertise beyond the result of a paycheck.

Encouraging a positive internal community is also important to us and we place real value on the views and input of our team. Regular staff updates, weekly catch-ups and staff consultations help us to create an open and transparent working culture we are proud of.

From our sun-kissed offices in West Hove, where sea views stretch out from our inviting patio (the perfect spot for brainstorming or a coffee break), and our centrally located hub in Southampton, just steps from the train station, cafes, and charming local shops, we embrace the best of both worlds.

No matter which location you call home, our kitchens are always brimming with treats. Think freezers packed with ice cream, cupboards overflowing with cake, and fruit bowls bursting with the season’s freshest bounty (juicy berries, not sad brown bananas!). And because we believe in work-life balance, we keep things lively with regular events, charity missions, and team outings across both offices, ensuring our days are always full of purpose and connection.

As a business, we are also working towards greater sustainability – both within our own business and for the projects we support. From becoming a Zero Carbon business to advocating for the circular economy – we recognise our crucial role in developing sustainable, forward-thinking solutions.
