New Library Study Space, University of Sussex
The MacConvilles team are delighted to have created a new flexible and modern library study and collaboration space for Sussex University students. Single desks area, group touch-down spaces as well as two separate larger group study rooms are equipped with full connectivity, fresh air ventilation and energy saving lighting schemes. Overcoming major obstacles such as ventilation and ceiling height the MacConvilles team created a scheme that transformed this former neglected archive store into a bright airy and accessible study space for this design and build contract.
MacConvilles has a longstanding and positive working relationship with the University of Sussex. Our sound understanding of the needs of our client, flexibility of approach and reactive project management ensured our team mitigated strict no operating out of hours restrictions and frequent ‘minimal noise’ periods to deliver the project within the 15 week contract with limited disruption.
