Montpelier Place, Brighton

MacConvilles is delighted to have been involved in creating this remarkable development in the Montpelier and Clifton Hill conservation area of Brighton and Hove.

In collaboration with Crowther Associates, the project architect, we demolished a disused 1960s church to construct five townhouses and 19 apartments spread over three blocks. The design of each building was carefully crafted to blend with the surrounding urban landscape seamlessly.

Tasked with fulfilling roles as Principal Designer, this central city development site had strict constraints, requiring our meticulous management. From establishing clear protocols for storing materials and disposing of waste on the construction site to scheduled monthly meetings, progress reports, health and safety assessments and ad hoc inspections, MacConvilles worked closely with the entire project team to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
