Haywards Heath Baptist Church

In 2017 Haywards Heath Baptist Church began their journey to create a new and more welcoming church to better serve the local community. Haywards Heath Baptist Church is a family-friendly church in the heart of the local community so when they needed to replace their outdated place of worship they reached out to us.

We are delighted to have helped them achieve their vision of a new up to date place of worship with a well designed layout offering increased space and flexibility.

The demolition of the existing Baptist church made way for the construction of a new purpose built 2 storey church, including a worship space, café, office space, meeting rooms, external play area and Baptistery pool. This was constructed using a structural insulated panel system (SIPS) to the walls and roof, incorporating a combination Glulam frame members with Steelwork, and engineered joists to the first floor.

Adopting the use of Structural Insulated Panels (SIP panels) shortened the construction of the building shell to just 5 weeks.

Internally the church was finished in a simple and functional decorative scheme. Modern water saving toilet facilities were installed and the building is serviced with gas fired, underfloor heating, energy saving lighting and full data and security provision through-out.

“In the short while I’ve been working with Ben I’ve been very impressed with his impeccable client focus and common-sense approach to all he does – it’s a pleasure to work with him and I think we’ve struck up a very good working relationship – without ‘bigging’ up Ben too far he’s the star of our professional team in my view”.
