The project required the team to draw on all their skillsets and experience to provide Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying and architectural services to a longstanding and valued client.

The project included an extensive refurbishment of the ground floor west wing with new services throughout, widening of corridors, installation of a new commercial kitchen; conversion of the first floor rooms into two new two-bedroom flats; refurbishment of all bathrooms and WCs; and the formation of two additional bedrooms in the East wing of the home.

Involved from the outset we provided initial budget advice, 3D rendered drawings to include walk-throughs in Revit to enable Guild Care to visualise the end-product and plan for the cost of the works.

Our team worked closely with an M&E consultant, structural engineer, and interior designer to create a scheme that full filled Guild Cares vision of modernising the Care Home to bring it up to date and achieve modern day standards.

The tender packages were split for pricing by the contractor who was engaged early and with an open-book approach ensured good value for the client. Variations were tightly managed to maintain control of costs and keep the project on track.
