MacConvilles Staff – Supporting Portslade’s The Purple People Kitchen.
14th December 2016
This year MacConvilles have been collecting for The Purple People Kitchen Portslade Foodbank. Staff donated festive foods, treats, toys and gifts for their foodbank Christmas Lunch and raffle.
The foodbank was created after Councillor Penny Gilbey discovered that a young Portslade mum had to walk to Brighton to get help for her family. Starting in 2013 with around 15 people a week the charity now feeds anywhere between 60- 140 each Friday.
The Purple People Kitchen operates on a referral basis for residents in Portslade and West Hove.
