Cavendish House, Brighton

What it is

Cavendish House is a five storey office block built in early 1970 which had become tired and dilapidated over the years under the previous owner’s occupation.

What we did

MacConvilles Building Surveying team undertook the pre-purchase survey inspection to include all services and reported on the condition along with a schedule of major cost elements in a period of ten days from instruction to final report.

We prepared measured survey drawings of the building and based on the Client brief, drew up repair and refurbishment options together with cost advice on procurement and project duration. Detailed drawings and specifications were completed and tendered to include mechanical and electrical designs.

MacConvilles provided on site Contract Administration, resolving and responding to Client changes and Contractor queries.

The complete project was a fast turn round scheme which took 30 weeks from design to completion on site.
