MacConvilles Surveying invest in Sharepoint

The ever changing world of Information Technology affects us all and no less the world of Chartered Surveying.  MacConvilles prepares to launch Sharepoint- the next step in colloborative working.

Here at MacConvilles our continuous commitment in IT infrastructure ensures that our clients receive all the advantages of advancements.  Sharepoint is our latest exciting investment in IT.

In March 2016, MacConvilles will launch its own SharePoint document management system.  All new and existing projects will be securely stored, accessed and managed from one central point on the ‘cloud’.

Each project will have its own secure file containing documents and calendars pertaining to the project.  Clients and members of the consultant team will be able to view, revise and amend documentation for their project confident that they are working on the most current and correct version at all times.  Files will also contain a shared project calendar reducing chances of confusion on meetings and deadlines, supporting collaborative, seamless and transparent working.  We believe that this system offers greater efficiency to the design, planning and construction phases resulting in economic benefits both at the build stages and throughout the life of the building.

Managing Director Malcolm Gordon explains, “I believe it is essential for Chartered Surveyors to embrace the changes and development of IT using it to improve delivery and service to malcolm-gordonour clients. I am proud that MacConvilles are at the forefront of this growth in collaborative working with the launch of our new SharePoint system.  This progression reinforces our commitment to help develop BIM, (Building Information Modelling) and the further benefits this brings to the Facilities Manager and Lifecycle costing.  Alongside our investments in the Autocad Revit and the Costx software system, Sharepoint reinforces the professional growth of the practice and our commitment to help improve the construction industry and offer our clients the excellent service they deserve.”
