Based at our offices in Hove, the role will predominantly be focused within the South East.

Key Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrable track record of working in a technical capacity preferably as a high-level CAD/BIM user
  • Structured approach to problem solving and decision making
  • Able to competently use AutoCAD, Revit and Sketchup
  • Sound drawing and visualisation skills, a good eye for detail and design and an awareness of design style
  • Good working knowledge of planning, conservation and building regulations
  • Able to work collaboratively and effectively as a team member
  • Good level of organisation, planning and management skills in order to effectively lead projects
  • Able to prepare detailed design and working drawings and assist with preparation of specifications

Key responsibilities:

  • Take a brief and develop into a concept design with only limited intervention of a manager for presentation to clients
  • Prepare and submit planning and building control applications
  • Prepare detailed design drawings from which costings are made, working drawings and schedules, specifications, 2D drawings on CAD or Revit
  • Attend regular meetings with clients, contractors and other specialists
  • Attend site regularly to monitor progress
  • Troubleshoot any and all problems associated with the project
  • Prepare Health and Safety Risk assessments and carry out measured surveys
  • Work to QA procedures
  • Co-ordinate with other consultants/specialists, negotiate with clients, provide information to team members, negotiate with statutory bodies
